Handheld Fluorescent Raman Technology for Explosive Detection - China Suppliers & Factory Solutions
Product Introduction
🔬
Fluorescent Quenching: The trace explosive detector is based on fluorescence technology. When the polymer fluorescent material inside the instrument contacts the explosive molecule, its fluorescence intensity and peak position will change. This change is recorded by the high-sensitivity detector inside the machine, and whether the explosives can be found on the measured object is determined through analysis.
Fluorescent technology is used to achieve a large range of trace screening of suspicious people and objects. Suspicious people, items, parcels and unattended objects can be checked by external wiping or inhalation, without opening the bag, to achieve danger warning.
💡
Raman: The principle of Raman spectral detection is that when light hits the molecule, the frequency of the light scattered by the molecule changes, and this frequency change corresponds to the molecular structure one by one. By measuring the change of the scattering light frequency, the structure of the molecule can be identified, and then the composition of the material determined.
Due to the unique advantages brought by Raman's principle — no contact, high accuracy and fast speed — it is particularly suitable for the measurement of solid and liquid suspicious explosives, flammable and explosive, toxic and harmful substances. Combined with solid-liquid sampling caps, it can realize measurement of trace substances (liquid 5 µl, solid 5 mg). Raman products with transmitted light path, spatial direct coupling and confocal technology have the advantages of small size, light weight, fast speed (<5 seconds), high accuracy, non-contact, and without environmental interference, capable of detecting concentrations of 5% (5 µl); the algorithm for mixture component analysis can realize rapid identification of three mixed components in under 5 seconds.

Frequently Asked Questions
QWhat two detection technologies does this handheld device integrate?
The device integrates both fluorescence quenching and Raman spectroscopy in a single handheld unit — enabling explosive trace screening and precise substance identification simultaneously. It is the world's first handheld device to combine these two technologies.
QWhat is the minimum detection sensitivity of the fluorescence quenching method?
The fluorescence quenching method achieves a sensitivity as high as 0.1 ng, making it highly effective for detecting extremely trace amounts of explosive residue on people, items, or surfaces.
QHow large is the Raman substance database, and what categories does it cover?
The Raman database contains more than 10,000 substances, including 200+ types of drugs and precursor drugs, 200+ new psychoactive substances, 106 types of fentanyl, and over 100 synthetic cannabinoids.
QHow fast is the detection speed, and can the device analyze mixed substances?
Detection takes no more than 3 seconds per sample. The built-in mixture analysis algorithm can rapidly identify up to three mixed components in under 5 seconds, with an overall accuracy rate of ≥ 99%.
QDoes the device require opening bags or making direct contact with suspicious items?
No. The fluorescence module allows non-contact screening via external wiping or inhalation sampling, so bags and parcels do not need to be opened. The Raman module also operates in a fully non-contact mode for safe and efficient field inspection.
QWhat sample types and minimum quantities does the Raman module support?
The Raman module supports both solid and liquid samples using a dedicated solid-liquid sampling cap. The minimum measurable quantity is 5 µl for liquids and 5 mg for solids, allowing effective analysis of trace-level substances in field conditions.
