Handheld Fluorescent Raman Technology for Explosive Detection - China Suppliers & Factory Solutions
🔬 Product Introduction
⭐
This instrument integrates Fluorescent Quenching and Raman Spectral Detection into one handheld device — the world's first of its kind for trace explosive screening and confirmation.
Fluorescent Quenching
Trace explosive detector is based on fluorescence technology. When the polymer fluorescent material inside the instrument contacts the explosive molecule, its fluorescence intensity and peak position will change. This change is recorded by the high sensitivity detector inside the machine, and whether the explosives can be found on the measured object through analysis.
Fluorescent technology is used to achieve a large range of trace screening of suspicious people and objects. Suspicious people, items, parcels and unmanned objects can be checked by external wiping or inhalation, without opening the bag, to achieve danger warning.
Raman Spectral Detection
The principle of Raman spectral detection is that when light hits the molecule, the frequency of the light scattered by the molecule changes, and this frequency change corresponds to the molecular structure one by one. By measuring the change of the scattering light frequency, the structure of the molecule can be identified, and the composition of the material can be determined.
Due to the unique advantages brought by Raman's principle — no contact, high accuracy, and fast speed — it is particularly suitable for the measurement of solid and liquid suspicious explosives, flammable and explosive materials, and toxic and harmful substances. Combined with a solid-liquid sampling cap, it can realize the measurement of trace substances (liquid 5 µL, solid 5 mg). Raman products with transmitted light path, spatial direct coupling, and confocal technology offer small size, light weight, fast speed (less than 5 seconds), high accuracy, non-contact operation, no environmental interference, and can detect concentrations of 5% (5 µL). The algorithm enables fast and accurate analysis of mixture components, realizing rapid identification of three mixed components in less than 5 seconds.

❓ Frequently Asked Questions
Q
What is the detection principle of the Handheld Fluorescent Raman detector?
The device integrates two detection technologies: Fluorescent Quenching and Raman Spectral Detection. The fluorescent quenching method detects changes in fluorescence intensity when the polymer material contacts explosive molecules. Raman spectroscopy identifies molecular structure by measuring changes in the frequency of scattered light, enabling identification of solid and liquid substances.
Q
What is the minimum detection sensitivity of the fluorescent quenching function?
The fluorescent quenching function achieves a high sensitivity of up to 0.1 ng, making it effective for detecting even trace amounts of explosive substances on people, items, and parcels without the need to open bags.
Q
How large is the substance database, and what categories does it cover?
The database contains more than 10,000 substances, including 200+ types of drugs and precursor drugs, 200+ types of new psychoactive substances, 106 types of fentanyl analogues, and over 100 types of synthetic cannabinoids. It also covers flammable, explosive, toxic, and harmful substances.
Q
How fast is the detection speed and what accuracy can be expected?
The device delivers detection results in ≤ 3 seconds with an accuracy rate of ≥ 99%. The Raman function can also identify three mixed components in less than 5 seconds, making it ideal for rapid field screening scenarios.
Q
Can the device detect both solid and liquid substances?
Yes. Combined with a solid-liquid sampling cap, the device can measure trace substances with a minimum sample volume of 5 µL for liquids and 5 mg for solids. The Raman module can detect concentrations as low as 5% (5 µL) without contact or environmental interference.
Q
Is the device suitable for use in the field, and how portable is it?
Absolutely. The device is designed as a handheld integrated machine — light weight and easy to carry. It supports non-contact detection, is unaffected by environmental interference, and requires no bag-opening during screening. It is well-suited for security checks at airports, customs, public venues, and other field inspection scenarios.
