Handheld Fluorescent Raman Technology for Explosive Screening - China Suppliers & Factory Solutions
Product Introduction
⚡ Fluorescent Quenching
Trace explosive detector is based on fluorescence technology. When the polymer fluorescent material inside the instrument contacts the explosive molecule, its fluorescence intensity and peak position will change. This change is recorded by the high sensitivity detector inside the machine, and whether the explosives can be found on the measured object through analysis.
Fluorescent technology is used to achieve a large range of trace screening of suspicious people and objects, suspicious people, items, parcels and no main objects can be checked by external wiping or inhalation, without opening the bag, to achieve danger warning.
🔬 Raman Spectral Detection
The principle of Raman spectral detection is that when light hits the molecule, the frequency of the light scattered by the molecule changes, and this frequency change corresponds to the molecular structure one by one, so by measuring the change of the scattering light frequency can know the structure of the molecule, and then identify the composition of this material.
Due to the unique advantages brought by Raman's principle, it has the advantages of no contact, high accuracy and fast speed, which makes it particularly suitable for the measurement of solid, liquid suspicious explosives, flammable and explosive, toxic and harmful substances. Combined with solid-liquid sampling cap can realize the measurement of trace substances (liquid 5 ul, solid 5mg). Raman products with transmitted light path, spatial direct coupling and confocal technology have the advantages of small size, light weight, fast speed (less than 5 seconds), high accuracy, non-contact, without environmental interference, can detect the concentration of 5% (5ul); the algorithm of mixture components fast and accurate analysis, can realize rapid identification of three mixed components (less than 5 seconds).

Frequently Asked Questions
Q
What is the working principle of this handheld Fluorescent Raman detector? This device integrates two detection technologies: fluorescence quenching and Raman spectroscopy. The fluorescence quenching mode detects explosives by monitoring changes in fluorescence intensity when explosive molecules interact with polymer fluorescent materials inside the instrument. The Raman mode identifies substances by analyzing the frequency shift of scattered light, which corresponds uniquely to each molecular structure, enabling precise material identification.
Q
How sensitive is the fluorescence quenching detection mode? The fluorescence quenching mode delivers extremely high sensitivity, capable of detecting trace explosives at levels as low as 0.1 nanograms (ng). This enables reliable identification of minute residues on surfaces, clothing, parcels, and personal belongings — all without requiring the bag or container to be opened.
Q
How many substances are included in the Raman database? The built-in Raman database contains over 10,000 substance entries, including 200+ types of drugs and precursor drugs, 200+ new psychoactive substances, 106 types of fentanyl analogs, and more than 100 kinds of synthetic cannabinoids. The mixture analysis algorithm supports rapid identification of up to three mixed components in under 5 seconds.
Q
Does the device require direct contact with the sample or opening of bags?No direct contact or bag opening is required. The fluorescence quenching mode allows non-intrusive screening via external surface wiping or air inhalation sampling. Raman detection is inherently non-contact. For trace-level analysis, a solid-liquid sampling cap supports measurement of liquid samples (as low as 5 µl) and solid samples (as low as 5 mg).
Q
What is the detection speed and accuracy rate of this device?Detection is completed in ≤3 seconds per test, with a system accuracy rate of ≥99%. Combined with its lightweight handheld design, these specifications make the device highly efficient for rapid deployment at security checkpoints, customs inspections, border control, and law enforcement operations.
Q
What types of hazardous substances can this device detect beyond explosives?Beyond explosives, the Raman detection mode can identify a broad range of hazardous materials including flammable and explosive substances, toxic and harmful chemicals, narcotic drugs, new psychoactive substances, fentanyl analogs, synthetic cannabinoids, and chemical precursors. The comprehensive database of over 10,000 entries ensures wide-spectrum identification across multiple threat categories.
